Bekaert is a world leader in the ability to supply Stranded Steel Support Wire for Figure Eight Cable applications in the field of data transmission and fiber optic cable. While being one of only a few companies globally who can supply both standard as well as pre-asphalt flooded product to the market, these products are produced in alignment with ASTM-A640 quality standards to ensure they meet the market demand. The pre-asphalt flooded product is processed with flooding compound on each individual wire before the stranding process to help prevent core water migration at splices.
